BACKGROUND INFORMATION

   Yoga is a powerful form of physical movements that awakens the spine, opens the limbs and joints, while deepening and regulating the breathing. Yoga has been practiced for centuries. We know the ancient Egyptians practiced this form of movement, pyramids have yogic movements on them. It was central to their life and many are beginning to see the importance of including it in our busy lifestyles. Yoga is known to enhance flexibility, balance, strength and inner serenity. Yoga is designed to include a series of poses while focusing on maintaining breathing regularity as well as focusing on individual capabilities. Yoga is noncompetitive not even with oneself. Each day we start a new and treat our selves where we are, based on todays ability.

   At Living Mindfully Yoga; the style focuses on the breath to guide the movement within as one releases the spine. These sessions are based upon individual needs, desires and goals, including flexibility, balance, strength, and greater inner awareness...  Private sessions provide an individual the attention that they need to enhance their practice.  Regardless if one is beginner or more advanced student it is an opportunity to focus on ones personal practice and the undivided attention can aid clarity and depth to one's study. As a beginner one will learn the foundation to create a practice. 


COMMON QUESTIONS:

Am I too old at 60 plus years to begin doing yoga?

Yoga will help increase ones strength and flexibility at any age. There is not an age limit for people doing yoga, people have been known to practice yoga into their 80's and older.

If I can't do a head stand and wrap my legs over themselves as in the lotus posture can I still do yoga?

There are many hundreds of poses and these are only 2 of them.

$15 additional per person

6 sessions $420.00 for 1 person
$510 for 2 people

Rate for one hour private in home $130 per person,
$20 additional per person
